Hi my name is Genoa. Not to be confused with the Italian Salami or the City in Italy. I swear I was not named after a stick of meat. But that is always a good ice breaker. Anyways, I started Ivy & Lavy Boutique in the beginning of 2022 as a side hustle on Ebay. Little did I know I would be throwing in the towel at my retail management job and having no choice but to go all in on my boutique side hustle. Sometimes life give you lemons and I had to make the lemonade.
A little about me, I love all things funky and boho. My favorite color is red. I am addicted to coffee and love any excuse to go get margaritas. Romance novels are my weakness. And my favorite way to end the evening after coaxing the kids to bed is a bubble bath and facemask. I am married to my lovely husband, Adam, of five years and we have two rambunctious little ladies who drive us crazy (but in a good way). Add in two fur babies and two reptiles and we are a happy little family.
My business goal is to make women feel beautiful and encourage female empowerment, within our daily lives. And most importantly, to feel good about what you put on to tackle your day, week, or hour by hour.
When the boutique started my thoughts were buy all the things I want one of in my closet and sell the rest. I know what you're thinking... That is a great idea and she is not addicted to clothing. But hey, it worked! After a year of thriving on Ebay, I was finally ready to expand online and will be opening my first pop up boutique in March.
